Leather isn’t “cleaned”—it’s maintained. Using the wrong product can strip the natural oils, leading to cracking by 2027.
The Protocol
- Step 1: Surface Dusting. Use a dry, electrostatic cloth.
- Step 2: PH-Balanced Cleansing. Apply a dedicated leather foam (e.g., Lexol or Honey Leather). Avoid “All-Purpose” sprays.
- Step 3: Buffing. Use a circular motion to remove dirt lifted by the foam.
- Step 4: Conditioning. Apply a UV-protectant leather cream to keep the hide supple.
